The NY Conservatory of Music is such an exemplary institution. Dr. Stryjniak is a concert pianist who is an amazing instructor. His wife, Joanna, is such a lovely and warm human being. We also love Andre who is always so mindful to people's needs. Their students get to Carnegie, ABT and so on. Always a privilege to be around such talent and discipline.
FIVE * * * * * STARS! When you enter this place you know immediately that it is a special school. My daughter has been with the school for 2+ years and she couldn't be happier. The space itself isn't large but it is simple, clean and uncluttered. The owners of this school are musicians who are passionate about composers, music and performance and they have had a very positive influence on my daughter. My daughter takes lessons with Joanna and she has grown to love playing piano and because of her, has grown more confident. The manager, Tania is extremely professional and always helpful and kind. The recital is a very fun and festive time and the children rise to the occasion. Note: Probably not a school if you want to be coddled. The teachers have high standards yet also compassion and genuinely care for their students. We are very grateful for The New York Conservatory of Music. Thank you Joanna, Tania and the whole NYCM family!
It is always an honor and a privilege to be invited to the student performances of The New York Conservatory of Music! The most recent one was at The Steinway Hall last May 2. We were treated to an evening of exemplary music! The students performed at an astonishingly professional level. Each performance reflected the extraordinary education this music school provides the students. After Intermission, The Master, Professor Stryjniak rendered a phenomenal piano performance! This is the closest I've watched a master concert pianist in action. I WAS IN A STATE OF TRANCE THE ENTIRE TIME! Professor Stryjniak had such incredible GRACE, PASSION, and POWER! He breathes, smells, and feels every note. It was like air! No wonder, the students reflect the same techniques in their performance. If you're seriously searching for a top-notch music school, I can vouch for The New York Conservatory of Music. They produce top-notch student performers! I've seen them. I've watched them.
