My husband and I are members here, and after attending a handful of events (gallery openings, live performances, movie screenings) I have to say their calendar of events is pretty amazing! There's a decent mix of ticketed (paid) as well as free events, although what I have personally enjoyed most are the receptions that come before/after the main event. The building itself is beautiful - you can't tell from the outside but they have an auditorium, classrooms, an event space, and an art gallery! The building is beautiful, there are art exhibits and sometimes film festivals and other cultural events. The best place in he City to learn Japanese, enjoy events, movies, art and see their beautiful building. Lovely staff.

I remember why I rarely come here and it's due to its mediocre location which is a shame because they do have a lot to offer but getting to/from is such a massive pain in the butt. Inside though you are transport into a Japanese somewhat dated hall, but it is well maintained.They host numerous event here throughout the year but again usually it's location and proximity to the subway is what is a massive deterrent.
