The laundry service itself is fine, but I will no longer be visiting because of how rude and unpleasant the person at the front desk, “Jinny(or Genie? whatever),” has been. She seems to think that just tacking on “Sir” or “Ma’am” at the end of her sentences makes her polite, but before that she snaps at customers, and the “Sir or Ma’am” comes across as nothing more than an afterthought. It’s really astonishing.
She’s always angry. Every time I’ve come by recently, she’s been in the middle of an argument on the phone, and the attitude carries over to customers who are waiting. If someone doesn’t speak perfect English, she snaps at them even more. I don’t know if it’s because she isn’t fully comfortable with English herself, but her general tone is sharp and confrontational. Once, when there was a Korean female tailor working there who spoke very little English, Jinny treated her with outright disrespect throwing items onto the desk and saying things like, “Are all Koreans like that?” I was honestly shocked.
When I first heard from friends around 96th Street that they stopped going to this cleaner because of “that woman,” I wasn’t sure what they meant. Now, I completely understand. I’m leaving this review because I think the owner deserves to know what’s going on. If you don’t believe me, ask your customers directly about 'the women' you’ll hear plenty. As for me, I don’t plan to return here until she is no longer working at the front desk.

Old lady at the counter, (owner?) is the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in my life.

I brought in my puffer and the tag says “professional dry clean with any solvent EXCEPT tetrachloroethylene”
The person at the front desk was very unhelpful and unwilling to check if this is the solvent they use. I found this to be bizarre, because this doesn’t seem like an absurd request for your precious items you need dry cleaned.
I said, “so you don’t want my business? I just want to make sure this Solvent isn’t used, it says it right here on the tag” and she literally told me no.
Even if your clothes don’t have specific instructions, I would avoid this place. They obviously just don’t care and that entire attitude will eventually result in something getting ruined.

After using their service almost weekly for 1.5 years, I am taking my business elsewhere. Greedy staff, which would change the price up or charge you twice, often broke buttons on my shirts. Avoid and double-check the bill against what they try to charge

Completely botched my fur coat. I brought a fur coat to them and asked them to dry clean it. They said they had to send it to fur specialists they work with in New Jersey and charged me $100. When I picked up my coat, the sleeves were burned and all the black dye started seeping out and staining whatever I wore under the coat. I tried to take it to other cleaners to see if it could be fixed but the chemicals used destroyed it. It's irreparable. The chemicals used were the wrong chemicals I cannot wear the coat anymore.

I really feel bad writing this review as this place was really good for a long time. My white pants are missing and they wont even look for them. The lady at the front is also super on edge. I wish she would just look and see if they fell or something. I'm sorry. I know your heart is in the right place.

Overpriced; charged extra for hand-care I never asked for. Could have asked before, or alternatively note that next time it'll be billed differently.
