Tony did my tattoo in 1997, just after I got divorced. It was a snake...metaphorically it never dies, just sheds its skin and renews. I recall I sat in a dentist chair and looked out over the river. He told me he tattooed his left arm himself, it was a whole sleeve. I loved that he used vegetable dye. Great guy, I'm happy to see the business is still going strong.

I went here 30 years for my first tattoo (with Tony), then 15 years ago (with Tony) and now recently ( with Tim) for my sleeve. I experienced each and every time, professional and excellent fine line ink. I would recommend to my sister....ironically she recommended them 30 years ago

When your kid informs you that he's now legal and going for a tattoo, don't freak out, and just calmly suggest this place. In fact, offer to help pay for it. Because even if you don't agree with him or her making one of life's irrevocable decisions at such a tender age, you can at least ensure that the result will be beautifully rendered. Tony and Tim are master artisans and fine artists. In fact, Tony taught studio art for eight years at Vassar. For them, it's a collaboration; they're proud of their work, and they don't do ugly.
