Found this shop while visiting NYC. Always a risk while traveling, but I’m happy I chose Nelson’s. Great, fast service with attention to detail. Highly recommend! Nelson himself cut my hair.

I recently moved to the neighborhood and after looking at a few barbers in the community, I decided to go to Nelson's and it did not disappoint!
I think Miguel gave me a cut and beard trim - and while there was a slight language barrier, there was a female barber/stylist who was able to relay what i wanted to him.
The cut was thorough and quick and I had 0 complaints or concerns. I will definitely be coming here from now on.
Nelson even recognized it was my first time as I was leaving and its small things like that that really make a difference.

This place was pretty good considering how much I had to pay for the cut. I am a man with a lot of hair especially on the body so my cut took about a solid hour to do. I also had to make an appointment a few hours prior to the time listed. I showed up 15 minutes earlier then expected since it’s right on queens blvd and waited another 15 mins after my due time because my barber Juan was taking care of someone else. The shop is pretty small but has an ATM and a vending machine which is pretty cool. They have Hispanic songs playing through speakers and a flat screen tv displaying the video in which the audio comes from. There are about 6-8 stylists/barbers who apparently... read full review
