It took me 3 hours just to see the doctor and when I tested positive for the flu I only got a doctors note with a return to work date on it for 2 days. Awful experience.

The worst wait times. Waiting area littered with garbage left behind by others. No managers to speak to when things go wrong, which they did. Try phoning the billing department. You will not get anyone to solve simple billing mistakes. The male pediatrician took forever to come into the room then said he didn't care about our child's fever. I wouldn't bring my child back here ever again and I don't advise anyone else to make the mistake.

This incident occurred at Northwell Health–GoHealth Pediatric & Adult Urgent Care and represents a serious patient safety, professionalism, and scope-of-practice concern.

This was my third negative encounter with the same staff member, who identified himself only as “Al.” He was not a provider and had no role in medical assessment or clinical decision-making.

On Saturday, January 10, 2026, at approximately 7:25 PM, this individual entered the exam room only to state that the provider was running a few minutes late. I expressed concern because my daughter had a documented fever of 103.1°F, a heart rate of 137 bpm, and a known history of asthma. Given these findings, she should not have been waiting without timely medical evaluation.

Despite not being a provider and not performing any assessment, this staff member stated that “she doesn’t look like she’s fainting to me.” This comment was inappropriate, outside the scope of his role, and dismissive of objectively abnormal vital signs in a patient with underlying respiratory disease.

When I asked for his full name and position, he appeared nervous and refused to provide either. His ID badge had been flipped, and when asked to turn it around, he refused and stated, “you already saw my ID,” despite having just flipped it away. He then walked out of the room. Refusal to properly identify oneself in a healthcare setting is unacceptable and raises concerns regarding accountability and compliance.

This behavior is not isolated. This is the third occurrence of rude, dismissive, and unprofessional behavior by this same individual. A repeated pattern of non-clinical staff making inappropriate medical comments, minimizing abnormal vital signs, and refusing identification represents an ongoing patient safety risk.

Patients and families deserve respectful communication, proper staff identification, and appropriate escalation when vital signs are abnormal. This conduct should not be occurring in any healthcare environment.

Was charged copay twice by mistake on the front desk in October, still did not get money back in the end of December! Calling Northwell financial department feels like fraud!

If I could provide a zero-star review, I would. The most unprofessional place I have ever seen. On two separate occasions, I’ve had a negative experience with this location. My daughter went there with a temperature and cold symptoms and was diagnosed with the flu. The doctor prescribed Tamiflu. Then proceeded to tell her some of the side effects that could happen, including hallucinating and a host of other very rare symptoms. Hallucinations aren’t even one of the side effects that is listed on the prescription itself. Needless to say, my daughter was petrified to take this despite its benefits. When she had questions, she was treated like she was annoying him and never answered the question she asked. Very cold and uninterested.
A week later, my son goes in because he’s also sick. In this instance, my son, who has been working on and had weight issues, goes there to be diagnosed for cold and flu symptoms and ends up getting scolded and reprimanded for his weight. Of which he has been working on and is very self-conscious about. The way that he was treated and spoken to left me dumbfounded. This is not a primary care doctor; this is not his parent nor guardian. It’s individuals who have no idea what he has gone through, is dealing with, or how he feels about it. Even with that being said, the reprimand was not done in a nice way. It was exactly that: a reprimand and a scolding, which is out of line, unprofessional, and uncalled for. This is an urgent care clinic. He went there with flu symptoms. He did not go there to get life coaching from an assistant, not even the doctor! He has a primary care position. He’s lost 15 pounds in the last year and is working on it. Did they know any of this? No. They just made him feel self-conscious, bad about himself, and embarrassed.

I wouldn’t advise anyone to come here. They’re trying to run a doctor’s office rather than an urgent care out of this place. I got here 12:16 and checked in on the computer. During check in you have to pay upfront. AFTER you pay you’re given an appointment time - mine was 4:25pm. I checked with the receptionist if that sounds right and she said yes. She said I should come back at 4:25 pm as that’s the time given … this is after I already paid. I return BEFORE 4:25 there’s a much longer line. People are going in before me.
Would I come back here? Nope 👎
Requesting a refund is impossible too
