I've never written a review like this, but I absolutely felt compelled to.
I am in the market for a new nail salon. The woman I used to frequent (who was amazing) moved away. Not particularly attached to my hair salon either based on consistency. I came across Head Games when searching Google maps in my area. Looking at the services, pictures & location, I was going to make an appointment. However, I started reading past reviews & the owner's response to the handful of negative ones. I'm not much of a complainer. When I take the time to write a review, I try to write it to be helpful to possible customers, as I obviously rely on them to make my decisions. Most of mine are 5 stars (so your insults to others of only giving 1-star reviews hold no weight with me). I decided not only against making an appointment but also to post a review. Reviews can be from actual interaction or observations of interactions. This is, unfortunately, the latter. I am not patronizing your business because of the manner in which you think you "defended" yourself against those bad reviews. As a business owner, you should not be writing a huge response detailing your side of the story. I am not looking for drama. Though I understand you felt the need to respond to their rude comments- it's your business, & good reviews are vital to success. As a potential customer, I don't care about what happened, I care about how you handled the situation, which was consistently abhorrent. You "defend" yourself by"offending" them with insults, insinuations & accusations. You're incredibly unprofessional (even though you most likely tried to address their concerns), rude & unnecessarily aggressive. You've allowed your irrelevant emotions to interfere.
If you would have responded with something like, "I'm sorry you left feeling unsatisfied with our services. We strive to make every client feel welcome & important. If there's an issue, we actively listen and try our best to work with our clients to meet at a happy solution. On a rare occasion, we may be unable to accommodate suggested solutions because they don't align with reasonable & accepted business practices," I would have absolutely made an appointment.
Instead, you've lost a potential customer, & I'm certain countless others who don't take the time to tell you why.
Bad handling of issues says a lot. Good luck.
