About Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery
Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery is a beautiful tribute to military service members. It is easy to access and offers a peaceful setting. The cemetery provides honors for those who served 20 or more years, including a rifle team and full ceremony at the gravesite. For those who served less than 20 years, a two-person honor guard with Taps and flag folding is offered in the chapel. The workers are genuine and respectful, taking great care of the landscape so the head stones and plaques are kept looking like new. The funeral hall is clean and large for services. The gravesite locator at the administration building is extremely helpful. The military members who participate in funerals are dignified, precise, and caring. This is sacred ground for our country's dedicated, honorable men and women who deserve our utmost respect.
My parents are buried here. Dad received a service with military honors. The grounds are beautifully maintained all year long. Staff has always been helpful with paperwork and answering questions. They have displayed compassion to our needs throughout the years. It is the perfect resting place for our beloved veterans. I love visiting here.
The cemetery is off Veterans Memorial Highway and stands as a poignant tribute to the courageous men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving the United States. This sacred site is the resting place for both my stepfather and mother, which provides them and other veterans with a dignified and serene final resting place. The cemetery is located off Veterans Memorial Drive and Buchanan Boulevard, and it is a place of honor and reflection for those who served and provides veterans and their families with a dignified final resting place. The cemetery’s orderly and respectful design blends perfectly with the stark beauty of the surrounding desert. The cemetery has wide paved pathways/roads, and shaded seating areas for quiet reflection. There is a central committal shelter used for military honors with a focal memorial/flag plaza - its flagpole standing tall against the desert sky.
