While the girls there were very friendly, I would not recommend Shear Heaven to anyone. My friend and I went to get manicure and pedicures, and she got her legs waxed while I got my underarms waxed. My friend has to get her legs rewaxed and I have to get my underarms rewaxed. Both of us have whole sections of missed hair, and the woman (Maria) decided that she did not want to continue waxing my underarms because it looked too painful. I, however, was not in any pain and wanted her to continue. I now have to pay to get my underarms waxed again to fix what she did not do the first time. The pedicure was decent, but the manicure was nothing more than I already do. Maria fixed my cuticles and put lotion on my hands and that was the end of the manicure. The cleanliness of the salon is questionable. Maria did not wash her hands at all during the entire time my friend and I were there. The foot sink was not scrubbed out after each use, only drained and refilled. And while I was walking in flip flops after my pedicure I picked up a lot of hair from the floor. This would have been explainable if there were other customers in the salon, but my friend and I were the first customers in and the only ones on the first floor the entire time we were there. I also found it odd that we were forced to stop my friend's leg was so the room could be used for a facial, and she had to finish her legs after our manicures and pedicures. When we returned to the waxing area, the sanitation paper had run out on the table so Maria insisted it would be okay to finish my friend's leg wax and do my underarm wax without the paper. I believe this is highly unsanitary and unsafe. Bottom line: Shear Heaven is overpriced, unclean, and unprofessional in the fact that we paid for a waxing service that was not completed.
