I found insane things here including mint condition Ferragamo crocodile print sandals and fairly worn Saint Laurent sneakers. My only qualm about this place is everything is mismatched and scattered throughout the store in no specific order. Then the other half of the missing shoe pairs took another hour looking for. But all in all, I paid less than $11 for 2-3 summer outfits and in this horrid economy, who is complaining? My aunt only wears European designers and Chanel, but she would have approved of my selection today and that makes me happy.
Come here with no expectations for cleanliness or organization and you’ll leave with a happy heart.... read full review
Get a good night's sleep before you visit the bins. Bring water and a giant bag. Wear gloves because you're sifting through a lot of dusty things, and there could be a pin or staple. Listen to the people who work there. It is unreal how much they do and deserve respect. If someone grabs something out of your hand, grab it back or move on. You need to dig through everything, so I suggest going on a weekday and planning on taking your time. You pay by the pound, so stretch out before you go, or you could potentially tear your rotator cuff flipping through everything. No photos, videos, etc., allowed, so don't try to film your time at the bins.
Wear gloves and get ready to dig. I primarily shop the housewares and have found some amazing pieces are rock bottom prices. If you have patience and are willing to put up with dirt, dust, broken items and a lot of people, you can score some finds. Personally, I find it fun to dig through, but the amount of broken glass and garbage in the bins is astounding. There was an actual medical needle bin the other day and also a mummified mouse in a glass vase. Don’t go expecting more and you won’t be disappointed.
