I’ve been CJ’s primary caretaker since he was born, and the hardest part has been finding a permanent home health aide. No matter which agency I go through, the aides never stay long term. I understand CJ is a lot of work—he’s my son, so I know better than anyone—but it’s frustrating that agencies can send someone into a child’s life, let them build trust, and then pull them away.
Recently, I learned about the PPP program, which would allow me to get paid for caring for CJ myself. It would make such a difference—for both of us—because nothing would change except that I’d finally receive a stipend for the care I already provide. Horrible care those ladies are not professional and barely speak English they can barely lift the patients. I would think twice about using them !
