I rented a violin and flute for my 9 year old grandson from the Soloist. The process was easy, the proprietor professional and my grandson was happy! Excellent experience and service. We will continue to frequent the shop as needed.

Doug is very kind and knowledgeable. Good prices, good service, what more can one ask for? Bonus: fast service. repairs can take a few days, but that is totally acceptable given the time and skill required to fix these precious wooden instruments.

Rental and repair prices almost haven't changed for a very long time, rare to see these days. Also very reasonable prices for services and very nice, professional owner. He knows what he's talking about and is very knowledgeable. If there is something he cannot help with, he offers alternatives, and instructs customers to go somewhere else that can help with the problem (but that rarely happens!) . Does a very good job with repairs, extremely thorough. Went to fix a minor problem, but he did a complete checkup and found some other problems that had to be fixed, and did all of that for a good price.
