I’ve been going to Sal’s in Lake Hiawatha for the past 6 years, and the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of them is reasonable pricing.
I visited again just yesterday (sorry, I didn’t catch the barber’s name), and once again it was an amazing experience. In fact, it was the first time someone actually styled my hair after the cut, which really stood out.
He made sure I didn’t walk out looking like I’d just had a rushed haircut with messy hair. That extra care really impressed me. They’ve been in business for a long time. It’s not a big, fancy barber shop, but the warmth and genuine service are always there.
Sometimes there’s a wait, sometimes there isn’t — but that’s just part of the experience, right? Price: $15 for an amazing haircut

Sal, Robert and Lou have been cutting my hair, literally, since I’ve been born. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with cutting my hair. Beyond that, they’re amazing people and I’m grateful to be a customer for 33 years and counting!

Went in with 3 people ahead of me and 3 barbers working. The wait felt minimal before they started on my haircut. Small place, but very professional barbers. Highly recommend.

There may be one or two people waiting and chairs, but the service is quick and I'm usually out of there in about 10 minutes. I'm very satisfied with the results. I've been going there for the past year.

I've been a customer since 1992. Mostly with Robert but Sal has cut my hair numerous times and so did Lou when he came on board. To all the reviewers who mention that you're treated like family, yes to that. It's a community place and you definitely feel like a part of it anytime you're there. I live an hour away now so it's not my regular. I don't have a regular because I haven't found a place like Sal's near me but I go back whenever I can get there.
