I’ve been going to this office to Dr. Slatky, even before my first pregnancy (it’s been over 2 years now). The staff and the doctors, Dr. Slatky and Dr. Jacobson are really good. They explained everything at each step during the first pregnancy and I’m planning to continue going to the facility for the rest of my pregnancies

This review is for the front desk staff member or office manager — she identified herself as Nicole. I never made it to any doctor because Nicole would not allow me to speak with a healthcare professional. I had an appointment scheduled because I was experiencing issues, and instead of allowing the appointment to proceed, Nicole called me, questioned me about my symptoms, and then made comments about what she thought was going on — despite not being a medical provider. She then told me she was canceling my appointment and advised me to go to the ER instead. It was one of the most unprofessional and unsettling calls I’ve received from a medical office. I was seeking care, and instead I was denied access to a clinician entirely. This experience was extremely disappointing, and new patients should be aware of how intake is handled here.

I still have nightmares from this place! I was a patient of Dr. Jacobson but Dr. Santkovsky delivered my daughter. Dr. S was nice at first, but really mismanaged a lot of the test and screenings in the beginning. I am a nurse and work with adults- not in OB- and this was my first child, but she told me I should have known what tests I needed. Although I’m a nurse, I was a patient so she really needed to take responsibility for these errors but threw it on me. The NIPT is done at 10 weeks. A correct order was never sent to the hospital that I was sent to to have blood work done so it was missed. I personally would like to know if my child had Down syndrome early on. When I told her I was upset that proper communication between her and the testing center was not done causing me to miss the test, she told me that most people would keep their child even if it had Down syndrome. As a nurse I know that patient care is individualized. I found that not to be her place to tell me that because it is my body, life and my choice. If you have a problem with that maybe you should move to Texas. After many unpleasant visits, I asked to only be seen by Dr. Jacobson who is the only pleasant person in that office. The office manager Jen is sooooo unprofessional. She’s hostile and bitter. She seems like someone who is so unhappy with her life that she deals with it by being nasty to others. The secretary Christina was nice but started being short with me I guess to back her friend and manager Jen. I called one day to speak to a doctor and she answers the phone “yes Diana” like I was calling her personal phone and she was annoyed that I was calling and it was the first time I called that week. I’m telling you the lack of professionalism in that place is mind blowing. For this being my first child they made that experience horrifying for me. I’m scared to have another child because as a black woman we are looked over, disrespected, neglected and at that point all I wanted was for me and my child to survive all of this. I stayed because there aren’t many doctors who deliver in that area. I felt trapped. So after months of terrible visits and interactions, I finally went into labor and of course it had to be on a Tuesday- the only day Dr. Jacobson is off! I wanted to cry. So of course Dr. S comes in and is short -no beside manners at all. I do believe she is racist. Most of the women who have had issues with her are women of color. She really needs to be investigated. Luckily my daughter and I made it out ok only because I had to stand my ground for the entire 9 months of being pregnant. Traumatizing!

Im actually super sad i have to write this review but today was a boiling point for me. I have been seeing Dr. Jacobson for 10 years she is my first OB/GYN ever. I absolutely adored her and how I was treated by her and everyone at the office at their old location when it was a very small private practice. I have never had health insurance and they were always very considerate of that even asking the laboratories to help me out being that I had no insurance. Ever since they moved to the new location things have changed, friendly familiar faces have left and I've noticed that the doctor is not what she used to be like. Long waiting time, because she's running behind. always in a rush to leave room. And now since they are associated with Englewood hospital everything has completely changed & not for the better. the office staff is a revolving door. I don't recognize anyone, the girls are super dry & serious. And clearly don't know their own patients either because i have to explain my situation every single time i go.It's become a nickel and dime office and for someone who doesn't have insurance that does not sit well with me. I had an iud placed and paid alot of $$$ regarding this entire process. As i was going in for a follow up that took 3minutes, i was charged more $$. I have never been to any medical facility that charges for a follow up on an already paid procedure. Mind u the bills that continue to come to my house from EH. Its sad but i dont think ill be returning.

I used to come to her office to see Dr. Jacobson. Dr. Jacobson was great. Dr. Inna not so great. I have PCOS. She kept pushing me to consider bariatric surgery. I don't meet the weight requirements- not even by a long shot. And for drs to still use BMI in 2020/2021 is absolutely outdated and archaic. Every visit ended with comments that my weight was causing the missing periods. Other doctors have told me that the insulin resistance combined with the years on hormone birth control to regulate periods is what actually contributed to the missing periods. I hope she learns to stop fat shaming her patients.

It's not easy for me to write this review however maybe my post will help some women my age who is seeking for help . I used to be a patient of Dr.Jacobson .For a very long time . Last time I visited her office is when I started experiencing heavy bleeding and possibly (possibly considering ) going back on the bcp. I did follow doctors directions, got my script for triphasic bcp ... HOWEVER before leaving I asked a question "Do you think I should go for an ultrasound just to check and see why my bleeding is so heavy ?" doc said "No , I don't thing its necessary .You had it two years ago , everything seems fine "...Well, only after going for a second opinion , talking to a obgyn who actually sat down , looked into my history , checked me ..AND HE DECIDED TO SEND ME FOR ULTRASOUND where they discovered a 6 cm MYOMA in my uterus .My new obgyn said that its been sitting in my uterus for about 5-6 years because they grow very slow . However if this tumor was detected earlier I probably wouldn't have to do two myomectomies and two rounds of Lupron ( which has so many bad side effects ) . After my second surgery I had to end up going to RMA center since my fallopian tubes have scar tissue after surgery . So here is my story , I shared this with you all so you , women who want to get pregnant and who is approaching that "sensitive " age be more observant and be more in tuned with your own judgement . Even if they tell you don't need anything , please do yourself a favor and go for a second opinion ...who knows , maybe you will be able to detect smth on the early stage that you can treat without any surgeries and dealing with post surgery side effects . One last thing : this is my direct message to medical team : when your patient is bleeding after being on the bcp and its not working for her , what do you do ? You don't follow up with me for 3 days after she called and asked you to see what Dr.Jacobson recommends .And only after me trying to call 100 times fianally with monotone voice somebody tells you on the phone "Oh yeah , Dr.Jacobson sent out another bcp for you to the pharmacy .Sorry we never called you back " ?????!!!!!!!!

I have never had one good experience at this facility. The front desk lady is very rude and inconsiderate. As a patient I am considerate of how busy the doctors can be. However, I did not feel as though I was being treated with the equal concern and attention that other patients have. Every time I go I feel that it is too busy and constantly rushed when seeing the doctor. On the other hand, before even seeing the doctor you are left waiting outside for almost 45 min and then left waiting even more when taken into a room. I would not recommend if you are a young patient since they seem to not care about those in comparison to their older patients.
