She is truly wonderful—professional, patient, knowledgeable, and she genuinely cares about the health of your hair, not just how it looks when you leave the chair.

I started my loc journey with Minnette a few years ago, and I’ve been going to her ever since! She is incredibly professional, kind, and always styles my hair perfectly. I’ve been going to sisters in motion since I started my locs 6-7 years ago. I don’t trust anyone but Minnette with my locs. My locs have grown past shoulder length without any damage due to her careful attention. My retwist and styles are always neat! Minnette is kind, warm, and accommodating.

Her work is top-tier my locs always come out neat, healthy, and exactly how I want them. She takes her time and makes sure everything looks perfect before I leave. You can tell she’s passionate about what she does because it truly shows in her work!

The salon itself has such a calm and relaxing vibe. It’s always spotless, smells great, and has this peaceful energy that makes you feel instantly comfortable. One of my favorite things is that when I’m there, I know it’s just me and her no distractions, no rushing, just full attention and great conversation (or peace and quiet if that’s what you need).

On top of all that, her prices are super reasonable for the quality you get. You can tell she values her clients and their experience. Every appointment feels like a self-care day. Sisters in Motion has been my go to salon for YEARS! When my hair was relaxed, Minnette cared for my hair. When I decided to get locs in 2018, she started them and they’ve been flourishing! She even started my daughter’s loc journey! Minnette is VERY professional and cares about the outcome of any service she provides. The shop is always clean, calm and welcoming.The owner, Denise, is very knowledgeable of proper hair care! They are a great team! I have been going to Denise since I started my loc journey and she has been AWESOME. She is knowledgeable, informative, and most importantly, FAST 😀. I started with less than 2 inches on 2/3rds of my head (growing out Mohawk) and had to start with extensions (installed elsewhere). Denise did my first retie and demonstrated how to band and wash my hair. She took pictures with my phone so that I could reference when I washed my hair on my own.

By my 3rd retie my hair had grown enough to remove the extensions. I’m almost a year in and my locs are flourishing, all thanks to Denise.

She is an honest, fair and professional business owner. It’s obvious she loves what she does and she takes pride in her work.

Her prices are fair and she is prompt. She starts each appointment on time, I’ve never waited more than a minute or 2 to get in the chair.

Going from being a short haired natural girl for over a decade to growing locs is a HUGE adjustment. I’m fortunate to have Denise to guide me on this journey. 🙏🏾
