The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. I have left every visit feeling like the staff truly cares about my pets wellbeing. I have, unfortunately, needed to use their end-of-life services and during that appointment, they were so empathetic and gave me as much time and space as I needed with my cat before he passed. 10/10 would absolutely recommend bringing the furry members of your family here!

If you are considering bringing your animals hear for treatment, please reconsider. AHC is not the same as it was before purchased by Rare Breed which is a corporation owning Veterinary companies. The quality of service has dropped dramatically, cost has increased substantially, and the veterinarians there lack the experience, common sense, and compassion that office was originally built on. Rare Breed has been riding on the reputation of the original owners/providers, but showing their true purpose...make as much money as possible while providing as little experience and services they can. The providers there couldn't even figure out an ear infection and blamed allergies. Didn't test the infection. Once my dogs ear actually started bleeding due to the infection, I brought him to the ER. Took an emergency room visit for my dog to get the treatment needed. Since that ER visit, no ear infection. My dog had some bumps removed and during that procedure, another bump was found that generated an appointment with oncology. The original bump that was removed was sent out for testing. Weeks passed with no update. I went to the oncologist with my dog regarding the secondary bump. While there, I learned they had to call the AHC to get the results from the primary bump AHC removed. I was then blindsided with a cancer diagnosis that AHC sat on and never called me. I've tried to schedule an appointment and left a message for them. Never got a call back. The only thing that's been consistent since AHC was purchased by Rare Breed is the nurses and front end staff are the same. Amazing individuals with compassion. They are stuck working under this horrible corporate management. I sent a complaint into Rare Breed and have heard nothing back. Probably because there isn't money to be made from it. For the record, several patients have left AHC since the change of ownership and I suspect more will be leaving unless there is a serious direction change on how AHC/Rare Breed operate. My family has brought our furry family members to AHC for 20 pluse years. I've recently removed my 3 dogs and cat as patients of AHC and found a Veterinary Office that is still individually owned and managed. AHC and Rare Breed should be ashamed of themselves for what they've done to the good name/business that was the original Animal Health Center (AHC).

Dr. Donovan is the most caring and concerned Veterinarian I have ever had. He and his staff were positive roles for our family with our pets care in the final weeks. RIP Mocha

I put my trust in AHC for the after care and cremation of my Lulu on June 14th. I was told I would have her ashes back the following Friday, June 21st. Friday comes and now I won't get her back until next Friday, June 28th. Friday comes, now it's going to be Tuesday, July 2nd.
While the 18 day wait may not have been entirely their fault, the lack of professionalism they displayed after the first week was. Especially having the cremation company call me to say not to call the vet office again and the ashes would "be there when they get there."
When I was finally notified and went to pick up the ashes, I asked for an explanation on why it had taken so long and why they gave me 3 different dates. The woman at the desk didn't even look up from her computer and gave the response "well they're here now."
I thank you again for completely destroying the grieving process. I hope you never again make someone else's already devastating loss an even more traumatic experience.

This vet has been sold to a company in Waltham MA .THEY ARE NO LONGER A SAFE VET. I have reported them to the NH animal safety. I was in having my dogs eye looked at for the third time because they couldn't cure the infection. When inquired about the dog program I had utilized for 11 years and the 3% added on the credit cards fee all of which were new the vet tech left and sent another vet tech in to tell us we were FIRED. I made the first vet tech cry ? I was talking to her in a very business like way. She told us we would have to leave(?) I asked her to treat my dogs eye which we waited 4 days for an appointment. No get out. When I asked for an office manager she said she was not in. So not only did the new owners steel money from us but also refused to treat my sick dog. When I asked to speak to the vet she came out and called the police. I am in process of taking this situation to the new owner and I will follow up on this thread DONT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE-CORPORATION OWNED COMPLETE DISASTER

They say first impression is most important
This place failed! ????
Brought my 10-year-old cat into their office for a possible UTI. Staff seemed friendly throughout the whole visit. Though inappropriate underlining comments and procedures just didn't give a good first Impression! Results came back stating it was not a UTI but possible diabetes.( Though after doing research my cat Was not presenting the signs of being diabetic) More blood samples/testing were conducted for that which again came back negative results. While taking blood samples staff mentioned that they had Expired sample tubes. Yes my cat is overweight ! I understand that in that can Difficult drawing blood. (Should have take enough blood first time) Several butterfly needles later On legs , and then a syringe to the neck! Then staff had trouble transferring blood sample from syringe back to the Sample tubes( lack of training?) Some of the staffs comments and procedures were not Professional in my opinion coming from a medical background myself. Then they also recommended more bloodwork for testing which was not done. It was mentioned to me(after that visit) that this place had a complete change of staff and they are not providing the same services as it was done years ago. So Over a $500 invoice (ouch) which was paid! And no real answers!
Possibly conducting equipment checks (expired? Out of date etc). along with more training of stall could possibly bring this facility back up to better outcome of the business
I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ANIMAL CARE BUSINESS.. STAY AWAY until better procedures/training are administered!
