5 Stars! Game changer for me as I move into balancing aging and exercising with changes in alignment. I had lower back pain that started to cause me loss of sleep and inability to enjoy living. Even walking my dogs caused me pain. I was getting depressed and frustrated. After 5 visits w Dr. King I am back to normal. Every time I have a tweak that doesn’t go away in a reasonable amount of time I pop in and avoid causing other injuries or muscle imbalance by seeking Dr. Kings expertise. He has been so helpful to my son and I. We highly recommend this facility!!! Thank you to the amazing team. From front to back, an amazing crew!
Dr. Coapland is the best! The front desk ladies are very welcoming. I highly recommend going here.
After a challenging start to 2018 (chronic PF issues) I decided it was time to seek out a professional to address my issue(s). Finding the right Doctor was very important to me - one who specialized in sports medicine - even better if the Doctor happened to be an ultra runner himself! I didn't want to stop running to address my concerns unless I was causing further harm to my body. I wanted a Doctor who would work with me to address the issue and not just treat the side affects or reduce the pain. For me Dr. Kanoa King was the right match. After some research from the running / ultra running community (and also Strava!) I was able to connect with Dr. King to begin the recovery process. I was barely able to walk without discomfort prior to my treatments and the first month was painful but through exercises and massage my issues seemed to be moving in the right direction - specific exercises to address the cause of my issue and a measured reduction in pain and discomfort. Prior to my appointments at Performance Health Spine & Sport Therapy my racing schedule for the remainder of the year was in doubt which included my goal 100 mile race and several other ultras - but hey I was already registered and had nothing to lose. I put in the time required to perform stretches and exercises as directed by Dr. King as well as regular visits for treatment. I never felt like I was pressured into months of appointments - actually I felt as though there was a specific plan for my treatment with a realistic time frame for recovery. I am happy to report that through the direction of Dr. King (and putting in the time for treatment & exercises on my end) that I completed my goal race this year and a new PR was sweet! My continued goal is to remain healthy and pain free all year long so that I can continue to be an ultra runner as I grow older in a sport that can be unforgiving. Regular visits will be my "preventative maintenance" to assure that I am addressing any small issues as they arise and well before they become long-term injuries. This would be similar to changing the oil in your car rather than waiting until your vehicle breaks down and then you need a new engine! THANK YOU Dr. King & Performance Health Spine & Sport Therapy!
