If you have long hair, beware.

I rarely leave reviews but I do want to warn others. I came in and asked for a few inches off. However, the scissor-happy stylist kept cutting more and more off, and now I am stuck with a horrendous bob I did not ask for. I’m pissed, I look awful, and I will not be returning.

I have been going to CHD for years to help support the students gain skills that would one day support themselves. I have never been disappointed. I encourage all to support these students when the opportunity arises. They accept walk ins, but if possible make an appointment.

I have been going to college hair design since I move here from South Dakota four years ago ! Love hearing how all the students have successfully completed their courses and moved on and doing well ! The staff is awesome ? and the environment there is amazing ! Some of the work that I had done with my hair is highlights and lowlights and having a reconstructed bond done to my hair and recently had my hair cut ??‍♀️ and had a fade done with a design! Love every moment with the students!

I came in yesterday for a trim, asked for a half inch taken off the top and a mid fade on the sides. Before my appointment, i could pull my hair down to my top lip (i have curly hair) and naturally falls right above my eyebrows. My stylist started doing a mid taper instead of a mid fade, i didn’t ask for that but i didn’t mind because it looked pretty good. During my appointment, my stylist was called over the intercom being notified that he had another guest waiting in the lobby. He told me that he would have to hurry with the cut which made me nervous, but really all he had left was the trim. He showed me how much he going to cut which i agreed would be fine. Then with every section he pulled up to cut after, he kept cutting below what we had just agreed upon. At first it was fine, and then he pulled up another section to cut and then cut at least two inches of my hair off in that one section, below what he had already cut in the section before. I couldn’t say anything because at this point he had already messed up too bad to go back. And so now i can barely pull my hair down to my eyes, and doesn’t hang at all. The time i came before this, i was getting my haircut and was surrounded by 5 students (not including the two already cutting my hair) and three of them were making comments about how cutting curly hair like mine is their “worst nightmare”.

Poor haircut quality. Barbers do not know how to cut curly hair. Hair turned out messy and uneven, even with instructor supervision

I have been there for several years one student cut my hairs too bad today. And my face was covered with hair stuff. but he not cleaned it and cut my hairs unevenly it was worse. so I complained to the front desk and paid money and I was leaving but four students said we re just student and speaking back of me so I went inside and talking about customer service and one black lady came out and yelling at my ears and get out! And get out ! Yelling at meAnd I had to contact officer for thatThat tall black lady are unprofessional with yelling and seriously terrible manners with worst customer serviceThere were 4customers sitting on the chairsShe must not do like that . What she was doing is like very unprofessional and rude in front of other customerseven she doesn't like me she must not show those bad manners in front of other customersYour yelling was so loud to customers who were waiting for their turnsWhy don't you learn customer skill and manners for your customers. They were other customers sitting there they heard your yelling at me.You have to come to me and ask the reason and bring me outside gently and talk to meSo you don't bother other customers right?Students practice skill with customer hairs who pays money too.Your yelling voice is your dignity and yourself.Don't degrade your dignity by that kind of terrible manners ok?This is customer service business. Not manufacturing business. I ve been there many years and paid same equal of money like other barber shops in Lincoln. I paid more all the timeEvery customer saw your terrible manners they can blame on me too. But they saw your bad actions to customer too. Don't do it. Your customer pays for your paycheckWe got many options to go get haircuts at other shops not there. You re worst person for me who show bad manners And very disappointedI understand they are students so I consider it when I cut my hairs all the time. but why don't you say sorry for mistaken haircuts not yelling without hearing my complaintsYourwords are your dignity. Control your anger for your customersYour student practice skill with customers like me. If you don't need customers to practice. Then you better hire paid customers for students practiceThey cut your hairs bad they should say sorry first . We re just student?? Are you practicing your skills with customers as experimental stuff .Before you learn that skill. Why don't you learn customer serviceOf course I never go back. And strongly not recommend to anyone in my opinionI all the time paid same amount of money like other regular shops by paying more tips sometimes more than other shopsThank you for your terrible customer service todayEspecially that black tall lady . She was almost trying to fight me. Respect yourself with your good manners. don't be cheap person by your anger . I strong not recommend this school for cutting hairs In my opinion. Pay little more money and go to regular beauty shop and barbershops in Lincoln or Omaha in my opinion.Miss(Mrs) Tall black Lady. Sorry I don't know your name. I didn't yell at you first. you came out and yelling at me and continued till I got out of the shop. Why did you keep yelling at me? Can you yell at me ? Even I'm not Asian? I would like to believe you have no racial discrimination intention. But I felt some of it.but I still believe you re good insideBut don't do it next time. You re representing your school too. which means you re the face of the school as wellBecause of you. Other innocent good workers hardworking will be distorted in a bad wayBut I still believe some.good people work there tooBut no No worries I will never go back to any of your branches . Thanks
