The Hardwood Store of North Carolina is a great place for woodworkers. It has a wide variety of wood options, including Baltic birch plywood. Employees are known for being extremely helpful and friendly, providing excellent service and knowledge. Customers appreciate the helpfulness and the quality of the wood, making it a top choice for buying wood.
So many lumber choices both foreign and domestic, many thicknesses available, all boards planed and edged with sizes well marked. Also available is a large variety of sheet stock, cut offs and tools. The staff is friendly and helpful. Fun just to walk through. Prices are reasonable.
This is a great place to pick up hardwood for your next project. They have a good sized warehouse with neat stacks of well-labeled dimensional lumber. All of the usual North Carolina species and a reasonable selection of exotics. Just about every board is stamped with its length, width, and thickness and the number of board feet. There are also shelves with smaller offcuts and turning blanks - lots of good stuff to choose from. Prices are a little bit on the high side of competitive, but most of the boards are straight and true and well milled S4S so they don't need much once you get them back to your shop.
Amazing place to go if you are a woodworker. Such a great variety of wood options and staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Gordon helped us today and he provided spectacular service and knowledge. I’ll be coming back very soon!!!
