Parkwood Animal Hospital

The primary reason I chose Parkwood for my pet was based off the excellent reviews long term and even new patients left for this establishment. We’ve been going to Parkwood now I would say for over a year and we have received nothing but the best care for my pup. Times where my dog has worried me, we’ve called and they don’t just automatically say “bring her in” they make honest recommendations before they just take your money like other vets. They are also reasonably priced and they really value their patients. Thank you to all of the staff at Parkwood for the amazing care you give!

They are the best animal hospital in the area. Knowledgeable, honest and very reasonable prices. I’ve been taking my dog here for about 5 years and Dr. Rowe, Dr. Stetch are amazing. The staff is very sweet and friendly. They go above and beyond to help with problems even when they’re swamped with appointments. They also saved my pup’s life by identifying a misleading diagnosis by another hospital. Best care for my fur baby.

On top of providing excellent Veterinary care and advice, the Doctors and staff are very compassionate.

Relocated to Durham and needed to reestablish our pup at a veterinarian office locally. I read reviews of several practices in the area, and Parkwood stood out. They did not disappoint. Everything to check in and check out and everything in between was fantastic. I really felt heard and the care and attention they gave our pup was wonderful to see. Excited to have them on our team and so is Wilma!

I’ve been a client of Parkwood Animal Hospital for over 30 years. Through an owner change, location change, and the lives of three pets, the care has always been consistently excellent. Most importantly I always feel listened to and heard. These are qualities that will keep me Loyal to Parkwood.

I was charged $400 more than the quote for dental cleaning & extractions. $1200 vs $800 & when I needed urgent help for my pup, they said they would assist, and then came back to tell me that they closed at noon & would not be able to see my baby.
I’ve chosen to walk away from Parkwood & take my baby to Banfield on hwy 55. The atmosphere was amazing & the care/kindness was so much better than Parkwood.

After moving to the area, the new patient appointment was so easy and all of the staff and Dr. Stech were so kind and caring to our dog who can get a little anxious during his appointments. Such a pleasant experience for something that can sometimes be stressful for both pet and parent!

Dr Stech was very thorough and listened to our concerns regarding our cat. She took her time with us and offered useful suggestions.
She has a very caring demeanor. We feel very comfortable having our cat under her care.
