They got me back up and moving in no time. Jared, one of the therapists, is knowledgeable and provided me all the tools for a quick recovery. Leah at the front desk was wonderful, as well. They have a wonderful team to help you recover quickly and safely.
Three weeks ago tonight, I got up in the middle of the night and my right knee gave out and I went crashing face first into a door jam. What a bloody mess and I meant that literally. Next day, trip to the ER in Huntersville for CT Scans and X-rays which fortunately proved to be negative with no breaks or indications of an TIA. The right knee was replaced by Dr. David Holmsley back in 2004 so made an appointment with him for follow up. After multiple additional tests, Dr. Holmsley indicated that repair surgery was not warranted at this time and we would try to address the weakness in the knee with Physical Therapy. I remembered that the was a Physical Therapist in the same building as my Primary Care Physician so I asked about using them. Dr. Holmsley said "perfect" so I made an appointment with them. My first appointment/evaluation was today with Ali B. and she did a work-up based on medical history and my overall physical condition. She worked me through several different types of exercises that I am supposed to do daily to strengthen my legs and lower back to take some of the stress off of the knee. We scheduled in office appointment for the next four weeks. Very efficient and well organized office less that 10 minutes from my house. Got home about an hour ago and while the exercises did not seem that strenuous int he office, the soreness is now setting in. Did I mention I hate physical therapy but it is necessary to resume a more normal lifestyle,
