The staff, including doctors and nurses, are friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. The office is clean, calm, and punctual, with a welcoming atmosphere. Patients appreciate the ease of scheduling and canceling appointments, as well as the convenient notifications and online access to health records through the FollowMyHealth app. The doctors take the time to listen to concerns, explain solutions, and offer suggestions for improving health. While one patient experienced a confidentiality concern with a new doctor, the overall experience of patients at MAHEC Enka/Candler is overwhelmingly positive, with many feeling lucky to have found a dedicated and caring healthcare provider close to home.
Dr. MacNamara is the best. She listens to you and is patient when you start analyzing your own answers out loud, which results in a rambling monologue. Pharmacy is outstanding. You can roll up in there and get a vaccine without an appointment. The bathroom is clean. The lab crew is amazing. They collect blood samples painlessly. Front desk receptionists are super sweet. Appointments are made pretty much within a reasonable time period. (First one as a new patient can be two months out.) Patient portal offered.

I have been waiting for over 20 minutes now i have now called 3 times now trying to schedule an appointment for my birth control and no one wishes to answer the phone calls here at this office, I recently switched to this one from the one in Biltmore due to the fact its closer….but gosh 20 minutes on the phone is Insane!! I would make an appointment on the website but there is no option for a clinical visit only regular drs visits and having to call back 3 separate times to still not get anyone on the phone is insane!! I called first at 3:28pm then I called back at 3:38 pm after waiting on hold for 10 minutes…..and now once again at 3:45 to still be waiting...read full review
Dr. Atkinson is absolutely amazing. I have several medical conditions and have had some poor experiences with doctors in the past. I lost my old primary care physician due to them going into concierge medicine and have had a hard time finding a new one that I felt comfortable with until I met Dr. Atkinson.
He has such a warm and comforting demeanor, and he attentively listened to my concerns and made me really feel seen and heard. He seemed very knowledgeable about everything I asked about and all of his recommendations and plans for me not only made perfect sense, but gave me a feeling of someone really being on my side.
