Elliot and his assistant were friendly, knowledgeable and easy to communicate with.

I had a really disappointing experience at this dermatology office. From the start, the appointment felt rushed and impersonal. The dermatologist did not take the time to ask about my current skincare routine or any products I was using, which I would expect to be a basic part of evaluating someone’s skin.
When I asked what might be causing my skin concerns, I was told, “it could be anything,” and my condition was quickly labeled as acne without any real explanation.

There was no effort to walk me through what she was seeing, why she believed it was acne, or what other possibilities were considered. That lack of communication made me feel dismissed and not taken seriously.

I also left the appointment with a prescription but no guidance on what to avoid, or how it would fit into a routine. When I later contacted the pharmacy, there was no record of the prescription, which added to the frustration and made the experience feel even more disorganized.

My experience at the physical location was fantastic. The check-in was easy and seamless, the reception staff was kind, the medical staff were all polite, helpful, and understanding.

My issues started when it was time to pay my bill. I received an ominous text from a random number asking me to click a link and pay a bill with no verification or proof that it was legitimate- and when I called to check, I was connected to a call center not in Minnesota. Then, I continued to get mail and texts and phone calls after paying my bill about scheduling future appointments, all from bots.

I was extremely disappointed as it was such an incredible experience on premise, if only they could extend that same local, friendly, and caring experience online.

I had three positive experiences at Schweiger Dermatology in Plymouth.

About 4 years ago I had a dark black spot on my lower back.
I set up an appointment for a general exam.

I was seen by Brian who examined me, answered questions, had a small conversation, then he said I was good to go!

I was so caught up in the conversation that I didn't notice a chunk of me was missing until I got home! I had agreed that they could biopsy the spot but I thought it would be a separate appointment. Nope! It happened right there and I didn't even notice!

It was definitely a bad chunk of skin and I'm glad I got it removed! Exam took less than 10 minutes and it was painless!

I went in for a follow-up to make sure I healed properly and Brian was able to answer questions about any other spots I found. I was fine and he told me to keep an eye on them if they change.

Last week I went in for another checkup because some new spots appeared on me since my last visit. This time, I was seen by Elliot.

Elliot was direct, quick, and very thorough!
He took the time to check between my toes and lower back.
I really appreciated the caution! He was quick and it didn't feel awkward. He was able to address and identify the problem spots I was concerned about. He recommended a skin cream that would help protect me from further spots but he didn't push it on me or try to upsell me. It was very direct and professional- done within 10 minutes!

Great place and worth recommending to anybody who hasn't had a general exam. Go get it done! It's quick and can save your life!
My girlfriend signed up after me to have her spots checked and she had the same experience!

If you get a spot removed, just make sure to regularly maintain it so it doesn't get infected!

Have a good day, thanks again!

I would not recommend seeing Jennifer Biglow. This was one of the most frustrating medical appointments I’ve had.

I made the appointment because I’ve been dealing with scalp issues for about a year, including bleeding, dryness, dandruff, tenderness, and significant pain. After I explained my symptoms, she conducted an “exam” that was extremely brief. She barely looked at my scalp! She just lifted my hair slightly with her fingers before sitting back down. I think she looked at it for less than 5 seconds, not kidding.

She immediately told me the issue was caused by stress and that nothing was wrong. When I tried to explain that the symptoms have been ongoing and don’t seem related to stress, she dismissed my concerns and said it was common because I’m 20. I am 25, for context, and have no stress. I asked for a clearer explanation of why I’m experiencing pain in my scalp, but the answer was terribly vague and not a professional answer. She seemed shocked I had follow up questions.

The entire appointment lasted less than two minutes. Despite me telling her that I already owned the shampoo she prescribed, she still prescribed the same product along with an ointment, which ended up costing me around $200 more.

Overall, I left the appointment more confused than when I arrived and felt that my concerns were not taken seriously. I expected a more thorough examination and a clearer explanation of what might be causing my symptoms. I would not recommend her to anyone.

My son saw the PA (Megan Offray) in the Madison office twice and he was rushed out the door both visits. The Physician Assistant did not take the time to address his questions and concerns. Also, she prescribed a medication that is not covered under his insurance, and inquired on which pharmacy he prefers although this was listed in his patient information and given during his appointment bookings. She never reviewed his medical history with him or the pertinent information in his medical records. Lesson learned for my son to advocate for himself when he is being treated with a complete lack of medical care.

Great dermatologists. But their call center is awful and you can never get a message through or do anything useful. They do nothing more than you can already online.
I left a message yesterday for the team, was told repeatedly that I have an appointment on Friday already which I replied was for cosmetics, not dermatology and had to keep insisting that I needed to get a message through to my dermatologist, not the esthetician.
The representative assured me (Because it required extensive questioning and assurance based on how he was blocking it) That he would get the message through yesterday and I would be called yesterday. I was calling about trying to get in with someone today (The only day my doctor is in the clinic).
Of course, nobody called. That’s because when I called back this morning I was told there are no messages and there is no record of my call.
I don’t think it’s normal to have to threaten to walk down there and demand to speak to the team in person in order to just get a message through your doctor. The online medical record system does not work in my case because the platform is the same as multiple others I had so it for some reason will no longer recognize my email and the office staff couldn’t help with it (so I just have to call in to communicate, shouldn’t be this big a deal. It wasn’t before they got an offsite answering team)

I had a previous derma close down, and had to find a new clinic! Schwieger was fast, responsive to get me on the books and how I needed to. Awesome - and thank you Abigail!

I rarely leave reviews, but our repeated experiences here warrant one for the 310 Madison Ave Morristown office location. I know others may have had good experiences here, and I’m genuinely glad if that has been the case. Unfortunately, our family’s experience has been very different. We will not be back. 1. During my son’s appointment, the physician stood in the doorway for roughly two minutes, did a quick look-over, made no eye contact, and offered minimal engagement. It was an extremely poor doctor–patient interaction. 2. That same doctor later resigned. When my son needed a prescription refill only three months later, we were told he had to come back and establish care with a brand-new provider even though he was away at college. This turned into multiple back-and-forth calls until I escalated the issue and someone finally helped. 3. On 1/28 my daughter had a scheduled appointment, and due to my work call running over we arrived 16 minutes late. We were told to wait while the receptionist checked with the provider. After waiting 15–20 minutes, we were told the provider refused to see us. The interaction was passive-aggressive, dismissive, and no attempt was made to reschedule or assist in any way. Policies are one thing, but courtesy, communication, and basic patient support were completely lacking. Very poor office management overall.

Dr. Meighan and her assistant Nor were professional, thoughtful and proactive. They took time with me and helped me feel my skin issues will be understood and resolved. I highly recommend Schweiger Dermatology and Dr. Meighan!
