Recently a transplant patient. Chose this place since rating is average. Terrible mistake. From day 1, this place was a joke. The nurse assigned to do my evaluation and first lab draw did NOT want to work with my schedule. I had an all-day full of appointments and she only wanted to come during my appointment times. Lab is supposed to be done prior to my morning 8am meds, but she was complaining about how it's too early and how she has to drive a far distance to just meet me at my place. Short explanation and warning. My sister, 61 years old was told by her pulmonologist that she had a 30-40% mortality rate of 6 months due to her COPD. She wanted coverage for a bi-pap machine for sleep and trelogy, a medication that helped her to breathe, and was told that Hospice would cover it. After contemplating and comparing medical treatment by her physicians, and discussion from hospice, she decided on hospice. She did NOT get the meds she wanted. Instead, her hospice team immediately prescribed morphine, they said to help her breathing. She became nauseated, so her nurse prescribe Haldol, which I warned the nurse could be deadly especially for someone with COPD....read full review

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, to Mom’s primary care nurse, Sophie, social worker, Leslie, and every on-call nurse, and administrative staff member. As a retired nurse, I was able to care for my Mom, in her home, as per her wishes, until her death. I will forever be grateful to Fairview Hospice for the support that my Mother and I received.
