Our cat was throwing up all day. Our normal vet did not have any open appointments. Dandy Acres was able to see her immediately. The concern they showed for her was touching. They provided a couple of care plans and there was no pressure to choose the more expensive one. In the end we ended up with a plan in the middle.
They called the next day check on our cat. Later that day when our cat was still not recovering well (she was significantly better than the day before, but still far from back to normal) they said I could pick up some additional meds from their sister hospital in Novi which is closer to my house. They said they did not want to stress our cat more by bringing her in. Again, their concern for the well being of her was heart warming.
I would not hesitate to take her or her sister the Dany Acres again.

I have never been so happy with a vet. They were so very nice and helpful. They are very caring people. I'm from flint and so worth the drive. Wish I would have known about this place sooner. Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate everyone's help. Thank you Ashley for getting me in there.

Absolutely love this vet clinic. They're a hybrid vet clinic, so they have licensed vets on site if needed, but for standard checkups you'll usually have a vet on a video call while a Vet Tech does the in person handling. I could see that being potentially troubling, but EVERY SINGLE VET TECH has been more skilled, detail oriented and caring than any other licensed veterinarian that we've been to.
A while back our cat had some issues eating & was under the weather. We took him to a 24 hour clinic, had to wait for 7 hours, and the vet just told us he was fine & charged us $800. Took him to Dandy Acres the next day, and they were quick, took great care in explaining all the possibilities every step of the way, and the vet tech noticed a lesion on our cats gums while it was hissing. Turned out he just needed some antibiotics, and the other clinic just didn't bother to check.
Should also be noted that Dandy Acres is extremely transparent in their pricing breakdowns and care strategies. We went to get our other cat neutered recently, and after his initial physical, our tech put together an entire treatment plan and went over it step by step with us, including the associated costs and price matching that they were able to do to save us money
These people genuinely love animals, and make it very clear they're here to help whenever possible. Couldn't recommend them enough!

The staff was very patient with our new puppy as she worked through some anxiety on her first visit. They jumped right in to help get her in the building and settled. During the appointment, they were very present and spent the time needed to answer questions, provide recommendations, etc. and never seem to be trying to rush us out for the next appointment. Their focus was completely on my dog and me as they provided care.

We brought our new puppy here only to find out the vet is VIRTUAL on a computer. They did not tell me this when I made the appointment. They are using vet techs (and calling them NURSES) to do all hands on assessments. IF the tech finds something they think is abnormal, they tell the person on the computer and show them with a phone camera they wave around near the dog. I was told they run this ‘hybrid’ program so they can see more animals in a day ($$). I do not think it is appropriate to have a tech assessing and diagnosing an animal (scope of practice?), especially a new puppy with no established medical record at this facility. They had a vet come into our room from the back because I demanded a hands on physical assessment from a licensed veterinarian.. this person listened to heart and lungs and left. There is absolutely no replacement for an in person physical assessment by a licensed practitioner, and I’m shocked this even legally falls within the standard of care.
Everyone was very nice, and they acknowledged that I should have been made aware of the hybrid set up when I made the appointment. This is just clearly an example of prioritizing money over quality of care. We will not come back here.

I took my dog here due to the fact I could not get her in to her regular vet. My dogs hip was locking up and coming out of her socket. First off she was a little scared so they started giving her wet food her gain trust. She has never had wet food and she had diarrhea when we got home. I saw a doctor over the monitor who was not in the building. They had not yet received my vet records from my vet so they proceeded to work up a plan and cost. They wanted to do blood tests, heartworm tests and so much more to the tune of 1100.00-1300.00 before they even looked at her. They were charging me for her to stay there for the day so the doctor when he got around to seeing her she would be there. They were going to charge me for pain med injection then another one to bring her off the pain meds...so crazy to me. They wanted me to sign it and I walked out. For God sake I just needed an leg x-ray not a whole work up. If they would have called me to inform me that they had not received my vets record I would have rescheduled it. I did not want a complete check up. I ended up at 4 Paws urgent care that afternoon they were wonderful and had my vets records within a few hours no added costs or unnecessary tests. She had an x-ray and she has Hip Dysplasia, she was given a pain injection so they could x-ray her much better than wet food that upset her stomach. I would never recommend this money hungry place to anyone. I wouldn't have given any stars if I could have.

The Veterinarians here are so kind and treat my dogs like they are their own. I would recommend Dandy Acres to anyone who is considering getting a pet and even having a pet and looking for a new veterinarian for their senior. They are so through and passionate, and I have never been dissatisfied.
