St Joe's hospital in Syracuse, NY, which is owned by Trinity Health, insisted that I pay a disputed bill in full or in part even though I sent proof not once but TWICE that my insurance, United Healthcare, said it wasn't submitted properly. I sent screenshots from two different United Healthcare reps that clearly states St Joe's did the billing wrong.Today I signed into my patient portal at Trinity to get ready for tomorrow's post surgical follow up appointment, only to find a nasty message from Trinity demanding that I either pay this bill in full or make payment arrangements. Don’t bother going to their ER for ANYTHING other than if you’re actively dying and need to be stabilized. Not sure I would do that much even. Their rating should be a lot less than the 62% they have! -62% sounds more like it! Letting a patient with an autoimmune disease and Flu A leave the ER with no sort of breathing treatment support, steroids, fluids or anything bc I had sense enough to take some prednisone and do some breathing treatments on my own at home when my oxygen saturation dipped down to 88% overnight and was consistently in the low 90s. ALL THIS INFO WAS SHARED WITH THEM BY THE WAY! Sorry I know how to keep myself from having to be rushed to the ER... read full review
