He is highly expensive and he is not a celebrity stylist as he claims. I don’t see any photos on his website of celebrities. He charged me $125 for washing and braiding down my hair and $165 to shampoo, condition and style a 12” unit, although I was previously informed of a different cost. He included $10 processing fee and a $ 18 service fee (for who knows what). The curls didn’t even last two days. I was in the salon for four hours because he was falling way behind. He didn’t even apologize for falling behind and having me wait so long.

Oh by the way, the curtains in his salon remain open so don’t expect privacy and he charges an additional fee of $75 to close it for privacy (I feel sorry for those with alopecia and other vulnerable folks with hair thinning/loss issues - SMDH). The greed of this barber and beautician is despicable.

I definitely won’t be returning. I am a senior citizen and can no longer afford his ridiculous prices.

Updated 1/11/2023 - Yes, when I came to your shop, I did compliment you on the hairdo (locs) you were doing at the time. However, if you thought I was disturbing you, why didn't you say so. I would have exited and continued on with my day. Not once while I came into check out the shop did you behave in a manner that I annoyed you or that it was an inconvenience. In fact, the first time was to check out the atmosphere of the shop and your personality. The second time, I returned for you to measure my head for another unit and was charged for that, but I didn't see a charge for that on your website so I thought it was complimentary. We never discussed the breakdown of fees to include processing for the credit card machine you used and tax. You gave me a flat fee for just the service I came for on both days. If that were the case, I wouldn't have mention it in the review.

I am a senior citizen. For your information, I am a healthy vegan and drink plenty water. Therefore, I am able to run that distance you mentioned in your response. I do not run with the unit on because I would sweat it out. As I mentioned to you, I run with my natural hair braided down with a cap on it. It would be foolish of me to run with a wig on anyway, as much as I sweat. I also have thin edges not alopecia (never said I had that). Also, you did say it was $75 for the curtain in your shop to be closed to offer the clients with hair loss privacy. I have no reason to lie. I do not need to go to a hair academy/inexperienced stylist, but prefer and have been going to a natural stylist with reasonable prices.

Wishing you all the best in this new year.
