My son has been training at Ryoma for 7 months and the progress that I see in him is truly remarkable. The instructors are so patient with the younger students and work to include students of all ability levels. They also focus on a different positive character trait each month, such as respect, honesty, integrity, etc. I recommend Ryoma to everyone I know!

My two boys, ages 10 and 8, have been attending Ryoma Academy for 4 years, starting in the Little Grapplers program and now in YBJJ. Learning jiu-jitsu at Ryoma has had a noticeable positive impact on them in terms of confidence, discipline, character, and understanding the work that goes into hard-to-reach goals (stripes and belts don't come easy here, which IMO makes them better). I like that Ryoma teaches practical real-world fighting/grappling drills and sparring every single class. They don't mess around with performing poses or breaking boards. We love Ryoma! I currently have two children enrolled in Little Grapplers and they have gained so much from the experience. Their confidence, self-discipline, communication, and sportsmanship have increased. Most importantly, they have fun and enjoy practicing new skills that will prove valuable on and off the mat. Brent is excellent with the students. He builds a genuine rapport and always has incredible patience with even the youngest students. Working with children can be chaotic at times but class time is never wasted.
