I arrived a little after 4.30. I didn't realize she owned almost the whole strip! As she claims, no appointment necessary. I signed in and before I could even sit down, a braider was assigned to me. We went to the second building and it was decently packed. Of course hair on the floor and around was expected but the men would come around and sweep what they could. I had a great experience at Nadine’s Hair Braiding. I found out about this salon on social media and was hesitant due to the mixed reviews, however, I needed to get my hair done last minute for a trip so I gave it a shot. I would give my experience a 4.5 stars. I arrived at around 10pm and was told about the $40 fee added because of the late times the braiders are working, and there are $5 fees for using Venmo and cash app. Those weren’t issues with me and I am glad they communicated those things upfront. It’s good for a quick knotless hair do. I got half tribal half knotless and im satisfied because I just needed a temporary hairstyle for about a month. My usual braider was ill so i needed something in a pinch.
Pros- walk in so no need to make appointment; they supply the hair; talented enough depending on what your expectations are. Expect some braiders to be better than others.
Cons- went on a Monday afternoon and it was crowded and close quarters with strangers so I felt like I needed to wear a mask.
