5 stars wonderful experience!!! I had loc maintenance done on 4/6/26. Due to living in a rural area it’s hard to find a shop that’s not a bit of a drive. I happened to take the ride to Bowie to another shop that accepts walk-ins, just to get there and find out that the price over the phone was totally off vs the price I was given over the phone. I went to my car pretty upset but decided to just google shops in the area. I cannot recommend Braids & Style Beauty Salon in Bowie, MD—especially if you’re navigating alopecia. Flora, the owner and stylist, brought so much care, compassion, and empathy to every part of the experience. After five years of struggling with hair loss, I cried when I finally saw my hair look so beautiful and full again. I felt completely safe and comfortable throughout. The attention to detail was clear in every braid. I left feeling seen, restored, and truly grateful. If you’re looking for someone who understands and treats your journey with dignity, go to Flora.

I went to this Braids & style beauty salon to get boho knotless braids and couldn't be more happier with the outcome. The owner was very friendly and welcoming after I called on short notice. Josephine (the braider) was super fast and friendly. This is my new braiding spot for fast, professional, and friendly service. Thank you so much!!
