The clinic seemed to run smoothly, and I made an appointment and was seen on time without much wait, which is important to me. The medical care itself was…fine. The diagnosis and explanation they gave me seemed to make sense, but the doctor’s bedside manner left much to be desired. She seemed bored and exasperated, which made it seem like she didn’t think I needed to be there. Not a collaborative conversation, and when I told her I was breastfeeding my baby she basically told me she couldn’t prescribe me any medications. Brought my mom and it was truly an excellent healthcare experience. She’s very hard of hearing and the reception checkin was kind and patient, nurse was very professional and patient, xray tech was fast, painless and knowledgeable. She marked the xray indicating broken rib and a possible fracture. Dr had great bedside manner, was kind and patient. He also helped her with an ointment for a cut and recommendations for her other laundry list of concerns. They let me see and discuss the X-rays, made sure her primary doctor will be able to see the records and images. I’ve had to bring my 5 year old daughter in twice and both times we got lucky with not having to wait for too long. The first time was for an X-ray and the second a sick visit. Everyone we have dealt with was amazing with her and made her feel comfortable. It’s a much smoother process when people have the patience and experience to deal with children.
