Four years ago, I decided to take up the banjo at age 59. I have always loved music but I had never tried to play an instrument and knew nothing about how to read music. I walked into Needham Music one day and Barry, the owner, assured me they could help me get going. He sold me a solid banjo for a beginner and set me up for weekly lessons with Casey Abrams. Casey and I hit it off right away. He quickly got me started with the basics and recommended the perfect instruction book to use as the foundation for my first year. My son has taking euphonium private lessons at Needham Music for over 6 years. The teachers have all been fantastic, and my son just auditioned and was selected for the Needham High symphonic band. We could not have done it without Needham Music!

Amazing instructors, teaching a variety of instruments.. Well organized office. Clear calendar for dates when lessons are held and which weeks are off for vacation. The recitals were nicely broken up into groups so that families didn’t have to sit through so many performances, yet each participant had a nice size audience. Barry K. runs a great music school.
