Tashi is a color wizard! She took my drab half dark half grey hair to beautiful blond and has keept it stylish and healthy for years! Couldn't be more grateful to have such a talented professional who takes care of my hair! She can cut and style all kinds of hair a great talent!!

I have so many good things to say but I’m going to break it down to 3 highlights: 1) Curly hair experts! If you have curly hair, do yourself a favor and ask for Tashi; 2) great long lasting hair color; 3) wonderful service.
As a curly hair person, I have been to dozens of hairstylists in the Boston area, and I’ve always thought my hair was just difficult to manage. Who knew that a cut could change that?! My hair has seen a noticeable difference in texture and appearance, and no longer reverts to that awful triangle shape! I’m honestly so happy every day I do my hair. Thanks Tashi!
Color: being blond is expensive. But here the quality matches what you’re paying for. I absolutely love my color and it lasts for months.
Service: Tashi is fun, engaging, and great at what she does. Wish I could give her more than 5 stars!

Tashi is a great stylist and colorist, I am always anxious about getting my hair but I love the results I've been getting at Shear Madness! The saloon has a great atmosphere and both stylists are incredibly inviting and friendly.

The owner and staff are nice, but I had a really negative experience. First, there seemed to be a miscommunication when I checked in about who I was seeing and then there was a delay because they couldn't see me where I was sitting in the waiting area (?) The worst part, which was totally humiliating, was when the stylist Tashi asked if I had considered a wig. I have some mild alopecia due to some medical conditions and I mentioned the kind of cut that helps make things look fuller, and the wig comment came out of nowhere. I feel fine about my hair so I felt really embarrassed. And the final price was quite high at $65. Maybe it was just an off day but I didn't expect to leave feeling so awful and frustrated!

Tashi is the BEST! An institution and I am so grateful she has her own salon again. She is truly the best stylist I have ever gone to, never a bad haircut! A hair stylist who really listens to you and is respectful of your wishes-- this can be rare. She is also someone who will be honest with you and talk through an idea if she has concerns. Her haircuts are so well done they even look great as they grow out. here is a photo right after my most recent haircut!

There are color geniuses in the world and Tashi is certainly the most unsung one. I started going to Tashi for my haircuts in my early 40s. She has created my most iconic looks - Nancy with a cute shiny caramel colored bob, Nancy with long chocolate hair, and Nancy with the cutest blonde Shirley Temple curls. The last haircut was so adorable and reminded me of how my grandmother curled my long hair for my high school graduation. I cried and cried as I hugged Tashi when she gave me those long tube-like curls because it reminded me of my beautiful blonde grandmother who recently passed away at 95. But the thing that separates Tashi from the rest is two crucial things. 1. If you leave her side and go to another hairdresser and come back with destroyed faded hair - she will bring your hair back to vibrancy in no time! She rescued my hair when it was utterly damaged. 2. If you want hair color that PERFECTLY complements YOUR skin color go to her. She can see with some weird magical precision what will work and not work for you. When you look in the mirror you will see yourself like some Technicolor Dreamworks movie star. Oh! did I mention that she saved my over plucked eyebrows? Just go to Tashi, you won't regret it!
