Richard is fantastic. It took me forever to find someone to cut my hair in a way that looked awesome for less than $50. Every time I did find someone, three months later, they would end up at a different hair salon far away, or for lots more money. Richard is reliable, his aesthetics match mine, and every time he disagrees with me about what to do with my hair, 2 days later I decide he was right.

I met John Piazza at Back Bay Hair Designs many years ago. Whenever I went in to have my hair done, I gave John my requests. When I asked him to rinse the chemicals off the comb before applying the comb to my hair, John respectfully honored my request. I only had to tell him once as he remembered each time. He paid attention. When I asked for a particular color, he gave me that color. He always left it up to me to choose and honored my choice. I visited John in his new location in Somerville recently.
