They are just good all around. The whole staff is amazing with my dog. She's a very particular dog, and they all have a good way with her, which is very rare.. they listen to my dog and don't push her boundaries, And are very compassionate they understand the bond I have with my dog And specially cater to it and they are straight up with me, they don't beat around the Bush. They tell me the hard truths that I need to know to fix the problems for my dog and no matter how paranoid I am, they don't make me waste money they are always conscious of my budget even when i'm panicking and not.. i would recommend them over and over again

The staff clearly cares about animals and exhibits it. The office is extremely clean. Everyone is well organized and aware of issues when illness or emergencies arise.

Dr. Sutka and vet tech Lauren were absolutely amazing when my dog Cleo needed a sick visit and hospitalization for some stomach issues. They were kind, patient, and explained things very thoroughly. I am very happy with the care my pup got from MVAH and she’s back to her happy, healthy self!

Today, for the first time, my cat Kayzer and I visited Merrimac Valley Animal Hospital and I was sincerely touched by the friendly atmosphere, gentle care and high professionalism of all the staff! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Understanding and caring from setting appointment to the scheduled appointment. Everything was explained in detail and no one was pushy or judgemental. Have already told several family and friends about my experience so far and they will be bringing their fur babies there from now on!

I have brought my pets here for the past three years. All three of them are senior pets with complicated health conditions. Dr. Radzinski and Dr. Sutka have always been patient and caring with them, and most importantly, they listen and take my concerns into consideration. It truly feels like a collaborative relationship with them to take care of my babies. They have also been great about referring us to Port City when necessary for more serious conditions. All of the techs and front desk staff are amazing as well. It does get expensive sometimes but that is veterinary care overall these days. If you have a new pet, be sure to get health insurance!

Very happy with my cat Monty's care. Turns out he had Cystitis. They took him on as a patience when all other Vets turned him away. He is fine now. If your male cat has trouble urinating ..take him here right away it can be fatal.

I have taken my dog to Merrimack Valley Animal Hospital since 2022 after transferring during COVID due to staffing shortages and high patient volume elsewhere. Unfortunately, I have been consistently disappointed with the level of care over the years.
On the 11th, I brought my dog in because something was clearly wrong. I was given unclear and conflicting information — initially told they didn’t know what was going on, the doctor who didn’t introduce himself had to check a book and call a friend, who was an ophthalmologist???? I was then told then later told it was likely just dry eye or conjunctivitis. We trusted this assessment.
Over the following days, my dog became significantly worse. He was clearly in pain and started having accidents in the house. We were genuinely afraid we were going to have to put him down because of how bad he looked and how much he was suffering.
Today, we brought him back to our original veterinary practice, and they were shocked that this had been missed. The actual issue was a UTI — something that should have been caught. Because we trusted Merrimack Valley Animal Hospital, our dog suffered longer than he needed to.
This was incredibly distressing for our family and completely avoidable. I regret staying with this practice for as long as I did and will not be returning.
