Simply put, David is one of a kind. I was a co-signer for a family from Ecuador, here in Boston seeking life-saving medical treatment for their child. In that capacity, I got to see firsthand (for months) the degree of bias and gatekeeping that can go on in the rental market well before there’s even an application (90% of brokers just stopped talking to us the minute they learned the tenants were from Ecuador). David was the absolute exception. He did the opposite of gate keeping. He worked hard to open doors and make things possible in a nearly impossible market for affordable housing.
