Dr. Schmidt is so kind, compassionate and caring. They will take great care of your fur babies and treat them with love and kindness, even in urgent situations. Your family member will ALWAYS be in good hands here, with follow-up calls to ensure the well-being of pets.
My Sheltie was referred here for an ultrasound from our vet, and we were not disappointed! The clinic is calm, clean, and welcoming. Dr. Schmidt and his tech explained everything before and after in an easy to understand language. The staff was friendly and kind to both my dog and I. I would 100% recommend this clinic to anyone with a pet! Bonus points for the toys in the lobby for my little one while we waited.
Didn’t realize how high my anxiety was this morning looking for someone to see our baby in an urgent situation. The lobby put me at ease. Once Dr. Schmidt walked in and started talking all of my worries disappeared. Told me all the things I needed to hear and took great care of him. I know that if we face any more issues with our little fur ball who to call and where to go.
I had the pleasure of a second visit for my cat Angel and a first visit for Buttons. Of course upon entering the building with my frightened girls, they very loudly let their displeasure be known. Once we got into the exam room, I was told I could let them roam free in the room. My girls are always happy to get out of their carriers, until yesterday! They both made a beeline to get back into them. Once Dr. Schmidt and his assistant entered the room, their demeanor changed. Dr. Schmidt was so kind, compassionate and caring with both of them as was his assistant. All went very well! I would recommend Veterinary Associates of Acadiana to anyone who needs their fur babies taken care of. They are top notch!
