The first time Maggie ate a rope toy and it obstructed her bowel killing part of her small intestine. This was a difficult surgery where they had to skillfully connect a large and small piece of bowel together after removing the necrotic portion.
The second time Maggie ate a nerf ball bullet and it got lodged in her intestines. The vet palpated the ball back into the stomach and removed it from there.

I can't say enough good. On two separate occasions, our female American English Bulldog, had to have emergency surgery. First issue was a blockage, she ate parts of a blanket. This second issue came about a year and a half, she ate a small corncob. Both surgeries were successful. It's hard bc we don't want the kids to suffer a loss.
