My mom has eye insurance, and was charged one amount by Elkhart eye clinic. We received the eob from eye med, and they showed a lesser amount she should have been charged. I called eye care a couple times before they answered. I was told Sandy was with a patient, and would call back. Didn't get call back. Guessill be calling again tomorrow, and to see where her glasses are.

Don't tell people they can get glasses here without checking their insurance first! I scheduled my appointment 2 months prior. When I set the appointment I told them I needed new prescription glasses. They said that they do carry them and I could get new glasses there. It was only after my eye exam that they told me they do not work with my insurance. It was my mistake for not asking however, my family doc is at elkhart clinic and the eye doctor was in network so why would I assume the glasses are not covered here? I was then told how this is a common thing and that they only work with a limited number of insurance companies. I asked if a lot people come in expecting to get glasses there and she said it happens all the time. So, you know you don't work with many insurance companies and lots of people come in expecting to order glasses - maybe it's time to start providing this info when the appointment is scheduled! In the end the exam went fine but this was a pretty big inconvenience cause I left work early for this and now have to take my prescription elsewhere. I simply ask that you look up people's insurance before providing misinformation like this. I could've had all this done had this information been provided to me 2 months ago when the appointment was scheduled.

Dr. Ahuja is a great internal medicine doctor! Have had nothing but great experiences over the years! Probably 6 years or more now going to the clinic.

From scheduling the appointment with Julie, to meeting with Dr Tiffany, it was a positive experience; highly recommend.

My experience with Elkhart Eye Care has been A++. The staff is so caring and if needed will get me right in for an appointment. The Doctors are so nice and they seem to treat you like you are part of the family. You don't have to wait for 3 hours for an exam and they are very down to earth.

Very saddened to write this. I used to love this place when it was Abbott Eye Clinic. I always felt like my family was treated well & the center is clean. I never had a problem until this site changed to Elkhart Eye Care. My whole family, with the exception of one of my children was under the care of an optometrist at Elkhart Eye Care. My youngest child received a school referral for a vision test. I was told by the appointment scheduler that they did not see children under 10 years of age. I replied, "But you see my other child." To which the secretary asked, "How old?"My other child is also under 10 years of age and has been there a few times. To which she replied, "Well, we are just so busy right now that we PREFER not to see anyone under 10 years of age. We will keep seeing your other child though."So you will see my WHOLE family with the exception of one just because you are "busy" and "prefer" not to? Well, now I PREFER not to visit your clinic anymore. I will find a new optometrist for my family.
