I should’ve known better than to give this place a second shot. Last year one of my dogs had a tumor removed from his leg. The wound got infected and I brought him back 3 times saying it was infected. Every time they said it was fine. Bring him back to get the stitches removed, and they tell me his wound is infected and he needs to go on a last resort medication that we needed gloves to give to him. Luckily he survived although the meds made him foam at the mouth a few times. Last week brought my other dog in as she was at the emergency vet 2 times earlier that week. First vet at the er did nothing but look at her. Second one did only blood tests which showed low platelets. Brought her here to get blood work redone. Platelets were still low, so they did a tick blood test. Showed nothing. Did X-rays, showed nothing. The vet said they could do an ultra sound for $400+ which would show more than an X-ray did. Then all of a sudden she says she can’t do an ultra sound for her until Monday (dog was in on Saturday). Bring my dog back home she’s still not acting right…at night she got up to get a drink and her back legs pretty much collapsed. She got up all wobbly. I had to go back to the er vet and finally one of them does an ultra sound and found a mass that started bleeding. Needless to say my dog didn’t make it. I think if the vet here would’ve done an ultra sound that day she could’ve had surgery before the massive bleeding started, or at least gave her a fighting chance. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

We had a very good experience at Yorkville Animal Hospital. We took in a stray cat who had been sleeping on our porch for a month. We called around a bunch of places and this one was the most expensive, but they took care of everything in 1 day. The neutering, microchip and shots. We brought him home that afternoon. I spent close to 700, but everything was up front and worth it in the end. It's been a few weeks and he is doing great!

I walk dogs for Recycle Rottweiler Rescue and they board there dogs here. I have been walking for almost 3 years and see what a wonderful job they do. I recommend anyone to bring there animals here for care, doggie day care or griming. They are the best.
