On May 31st 2024, we hosted my brother Mick Peterson Celebration of life at the Yorkville American Legion post. Everyone involved with the program was so helpful. They showed me what the American Legion is about. They cared about my family. They respected and honored my brothers previous service as a police officer. They made difficult decisions easy by giving suggestions and ideas on setting up, decorating etc. My family has lived in this community for 50 years and I guess I always knew the American Legion was a part of the community but I now understand that they truly represent what's great about our Nation. I was served the most tasty burger today. Cooked to perfection and the tomato slice was "amazing". I thanked the grill cook and tipped the usual 30%. She just smiled and seemed to reply "this is what I'm all about making people happy with my work."

Good Patriotic place to find Great men and women who served their country. Wonderful breakfast buffet that happens in the beginning of the month on a Sunday. Keep supporting your retired Vets!
