sonny is the gold standard for barbers in the area, and i have been a customer for @10 years. his hallmarks are the following: speed, fair price, precision, and unabashed political commentary. he's a good, hardworking dude who values his customers.
Sonny is a character, love the guy. Good haircut, no nonsense. Very old school. Not for the sensitive types though, and it's a one man operation. Call ahead to make an appointment.
Went here due to my long time barber being out of town. I chose Sonny's due to see other favorable Yelp reviews and he did not disappoint. The other reviews are right on: Make sure to make an appontment, but not difficult to get a slot. Sonny is friendly, talkative, and efficient. Doesn't take a lot of extra time and does a great cut -- uses a straight blade on the neck which I like. Pricing is fair too. Highly recommended!
