Highly recommend this dojo to learn Aikido! Great Lakes Aikido offers regular seminars such as weapons workshops and Midwest Future Leaders seminars offering teachings and perspectives from a variety of instructors. There is a nice camaraderie among the instructors and the students at Great Lakes. Matt Lowry Sensei brings over 30 years of Aikido experience and the classes suit all experience levels.

It’s a wonderful place to learn basic self-defense. The instructors are very welcoming and teach many skills you can use in your daily life. Our class was made up of many different ages, and everyone had a great time!

An Aikido dojo dedicated to traditional training of Aikido. The dojo, instructors, and students are dedicated to core principles of the martial art, while systematically training for the modern day. The instructors are very welcoming and understand each individual students abilities. Students will be challenged to become better not only in the martial art, but also in everyday life. Instructors are very patient and a number of instructors have extensive training and teaching in the martial art for over 20 years.
