My 5-year-old daughter has been attending classes here, and I’m genuinely impressed with how well the instructors treat the kids. This is a true family-run school, and you can feel the balance between discipline, kindness, and motivation in every class.
In just the first month, my daughter made strong progress — both in technique and in confidence. The instructors know how to keep kids focused while still making the training enjoyable. They also give out small intermediate awards, which really encourages the children to work harder and stay excited about learning.
The atmosphere here is supportive and positive, and you can see that every child receives attention and guidance. For parents, it’s incredibly reassuring to watch how respectfully and patiently the staff works with the kids.
Parking is easy and never a problem.

Mrs. Janice Wood and Master Wood are outstanding Taekwondo instructors who teach with incredible passion, skill, and kindness. When our son Amir faced dental complications, Mrs. Wood showed such genuine care and compassion that truly touched our hearts. Her thoughtfulness and understanding brought us great comfort and showed how deeply she cares about her students and their families.
Both Mrs. Wood and Master Wood create a wonderful environment filled with respect, encouragement, and positivity. Amir absolutely loves their classes and has learned so much from their guidance and dedication.
We are deeply grateful for their support and highly recommend their Taekwondo school to any family looking for exceptional teachers who care just as much about character and kindness as they do about martial arts.

Really nice place for kids learning self defense skills. My kids coming here over year and definitely for sure I see difference and their mental behavior and physical strength grown up. Master and grand master Wood really put their 💯 effort to each individual student. I can tell because my son transferred from different martial arts institute and JP wood is far better than other one I glad I made this change.

JP Wood Martial Arts is a great place to learn. Mr. and Mrs. Wood, along with the other teachers, make it friendly and focused.
