It's been a pleasure to interact with Davenport/Barrington for 22 years. With great care and dignity they have handled my brother-in-law, my father, and most recently, my younger sister. In all three cases they facilitated the transfer of cremains from Barrington to the National Cemetery of the Pacific (The Punch Bowl). It is no small feat smoothly interacting with the several entities that were necessary for these transfers. I could not be more pleased with every person involved at Davenport Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.

The Davenport staff (Jack, Kate, Rick, Trevor and Randi) did a wonderful job during an emotional and difficult time, dad two years ago and now mom. Everything was seamless . . . calls and emails were answered promptly. The visitation at St. Anne’s before Mass was flawless and the video tribute that Randi put together was beautiful! I would highly recommend Davenport Funeral.

I would highly recommend Davenport. They did a fantastic job for us and really tried to take the load off our shoulders where they could. Not enough good words can be said about Jenny, Rick, Jen and the remaining staff that worked with us as they were always calm, composed, and doing their best to make sure we were all comfortable with everything. All steps and plans were laid out and nothing felt missing. A very professional group in making a sad experience, better.

It's hard to imagine how the worst experience of your life, i.e. your mom's death, can be made beautiful, but that's what Davenport did. My mom had long ago pre-arranged her cremation and service with Davenport in Barrington. When she died, Davenport had everything on file to provide the service she wanted, including poetry, specifics of the service, and military honors. They brought her cremains to the church for the service, brought huge easels on which we could put our picture boards, and just overall Kate, Stephanie and the team were kind humans and really conscience-driven in ALL of their interactions with us. The service was absolutely beautiful, and truly honored my beautiful mother. Thank you, Davenport.

We are very happy with the outstanding service provided by Davenport Family Funeral Home for our mom’s funeral. We would specifically like to recognize Jennifer Valentine and Peggy Woods at the Barrington location. Jennifer expertly guided us through the process and made sure every single detail was taken care of despite a very short window to make the arrangements (3 days). Peggy made sure that everything was seamless and ran smoothly the day of the funeral. Both of them were exceptionally professional, kind, and compassionate throughout. We credit Davenport for making an extremely overwhelming process as easy as it could be under the circumstances. Even though we only had a few days to make all of the arrangements, the funeral was perfect in every way thanks to Jennifer, Peggy, and the entire Davenport team. We truly felt taken care of from the minute we first contacted Davenport until the end of the funeral service. They coordinated everything with the church and the cemetery and gently guided us and our guests where to go and when the day of the funeral so we did not have to worry about a thing. The Davenport team then arranged to deliver the flowers to our home the next day, drove to our house in a snowstorm, and even shoveled our steps! This is just one example of the many times that we noticed the Davenport team going above and beyond. We highly recommend Davenport Family Funeral Home not only for its comprehensive service and transparent pricing but also for the exceptional care and compassion the Davenport team provided to us during such a difficult time.
