I would give 3-4 stars. The PA seemed knowledgeable and concerned. However, the information sheet that I received when I left was not accurate to me! Mentioned that I could not have Paxlovid due to my kidney tests! I have NO kidney issues and Paxlovid could not be given to me because I had not felt well for several days.I have had to call since concerning my prescribed medication, and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to speak to a nurse (Issy) immediately. That is a BIG positive. I’m glad to have a Mercy Urgent Care open on the Southside of Des Moines.
Overall a good experience, I would say the wait time was a bit long. There was only me and maybe 2 other people in the waiting room and it still took over an hour to get me in. Otherwise, the doctor was great and I was in and out pretty quick.
The urgent care is a nice welcoming environment with a knowledgeable staff. They inquire what the issue is and address the problem accordingly with accuracy & the proper medical treatment. Definitely will be returning to the facility in the future. :)
