In my opinion, Anna is the best K9 trainer in the area. Anna listens to you and is always willing to be there help out when you need extra attention. Anna saved our first family dog when he was having major behavioral issues and we are now the proud owners of one of her German Shepherds! Its never too late to get started with dog training and you won't go wrong trusting this team to help you meet your goals!

I was searching for someone who truly understands dogs, pack behavior, and how to effectively train. Anna Childs was recommended by a friend and what a blessing she has been! Anna has exceeded expectations in every possible way. My dog is doing great and has learned to channel her exuberance and energy and is becoming a solid canine citizen. She absolutely loves coming to class and you won't find a trainer with better skills and timing. Anna is kind, caring and fun. She's a real gem!

I'd been searching for a good dog trainer offering classes when I found Anna Childs at Adelhorst. I used to help teach puppy and adult obedience classes when I lived in another state but had no connections in Iowa. Anna is the best dog trainer I've ever worked with. My dog is doing great and I'm learning how to improve my skills. Exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend Adelhorst for anyone!

My job as a trainer is to teach you to be a better dog handler by providing you the tools and skills to ensure that your dogs are a joy for you and others to be around, in and out of the classroom setting. I believe in results! Realistically, you can expect your dog to be proficient in basic obedience commands which includes sit, down, stay, heel and walking loosely on a leash without pulling. You should be able to perform these exercises in the presence of distractions and without the use of treats by the conclusion of your 8-week course.
