Excellent service and very nice and friendly staff. Did roots and haircut a few days ago. Very happy. Recommend 100% and will hopefully come back next time. The best thing I think was that they were so honest (I wanted to try to do a perm on my hair and they looked carefully at my hair and said my hair quality would not make that treatment). A friend brought me to Kaleo at Island Style when we first moved to Maui. Thank goodness! I had a fabulous hair stylist in Big Sky and she had cut and styled my hair hair the same way reliably for years. I am very particular and was beyond nervous about having to start over with a new stylist. Not only is Kaleo delightful, but she duplicated exactly what I'd had before and exactly what I wanted! I left a happy customer and have remained one ever since. Kaleo is an artist for sure and is a partner who consults with her clients and listens if you have a new idea or want a change. Recommend 100%.
I was headed to Maui for a 2 week vacation and my friend recommended her hair stylist Kaleo. I let my hair grow out for a extra month in preparation for a beach wave perm. What better place to get a beach wave than across from the beach on Maui? Kaleo really understood the type of perm I wanted and did a fantastic job on my hair. She trimmed and shaped and permed. After my perm, she did some additional trimming to give me the exact shape I wanted. She was very pleasant and we had a great chat while she worked on me.
