I went to Urban on a recommendation and as a guy who had been going to sport clips, great clips, etc. I didn’t really know what to expect. I was genuinely greeted at the front door and my stylist Alex was incredible. She was very friendly and efficient, but most importantly she did an amazing job! I would definitely give Urban and specifically Alex a five star rating.

Riley was fantastic! She cut my hair perfectly and I really like the color she did. She offered suggestions for how to better care for my hair as well. I don't think I've ever received more compliments on my hair before. She offers the excellent "little things" of customer service as well- offering water or a beverage, asking if I was comfortable, offering a blanket while my hair was wet. I will definitely return to her!

I'm 46 and I have never found a salon that gives me everything I want until now. Brandy made me feel valued. She took the time to listen and got it right like she read my mind. She really knows her stuff! Before pic in purple below. After in floral top below. She gave me a few layers and a few highlights to brighten me up like I asked and gave me great feedback when I asked questions and advice. She even explained the different techniques with the options she provided.

Stylist: Riley was my stylist, I just moved to Chattanooga from California where I had the same stylist for over 10 years. Riley was phenomenal at accomplishing what I wanted to achieve. She is a kind, extremely talented and professional stylist, she was welcoming, answered all my questions & her work spoke for itself. I highly recommend her.

Brandi is a true pro—at color, cuts, and at interpreting and bringing to life exactly what you need (and actually want) to do with your hair. I've had the privilege of being in Brandi's chair since moving to Chattanooga in 2019 and would never trust anyone else like I trust her. I have naturally curly hair and she's especially gifted at understanding and bringing out the best in it. Having witnessed her create her own salon from scratch has been an inspiration and a joy. On top of it all, Brandi is patient and kind and has THE best snacks a hungry, hair-needy person could want. She even has a laptop lap-desk that fits in the hair chair, and fully understands, never complains, when I need to work while I'm there. Truly the best there is. Especially if you need pro guidance on what to do with your color or cut—perhaps every time you sit down, like me—Brandi will take care of you like no other.

I am not one to go speaking badly about a salon especially because things happen but the experience I had has caused me to not feel comfortable going again. It was not the initial haircut and color that caused my choice to not go back, but how it was handled after even admitting that I didn’t blame the hairy stylist and what happened is partially my fault (I didn’t like my initial hair color and cut at all and attempted to fix it and it caused intense damage to my hair, unforeseen and it needed to be fixed) I felt incredibly uncomfortable there, and felt a lot of s lot of boundaries were crossed. I don’t want to go into detail because I do not want to name names or put people, but I would advise another place.

It’s hard to find a stylist who truly understands curly hair, but Brandi does! She does a great job with my unruly, contrary hair. And her shop is bright, spacious, and spotlessly clean.
