Friday June 26 I discovered Luke was not feeling well and of course it was after all vets were closed since it was 8PM. I tried all my usual things and he would not eat-he even refused all his favorites and could not get comfortable-Luke and I were up most of the night and Saturday morning I showed up at Good Dog in Smyrna before 8 AM without an appointment based on a referral from my neighbor Lane Womack.q and I had Even though they were booked Dr. Thane Boyce saw Luke, he was diagnosed with pancreatitis-fortunately the meds worked and he is feeling better and did not require surgery. Good Dog took sweet care of our dog - Piglet - in her final days. I’m so thankful for their front desk team calling me back after hours (Marco is the best!), Hannah for taking care of Piglet during the day, and Dr. Wetherly for the sweet transition from pain and suffering, to rest and sleep.
We are thankful for the years of care this practice gave to Piglet & our family!
Today was my first time visiting Good Dog Veterinary at the West Cobb location for a checkup for my 2-yr old Shih Tzu.
Upon arrival, Marco greeted us with a friendly welcome. I was pleasantly impressed w/ the knowledge, attention to detail, kindness, & gentle care that Hannah & Dr. York provided to Wikka! Dr. York also took the time to answer my questions & discuss any concerns I might have regarding her care. Great location that’s close to home. Overall, it was an excellent experience & I highly recommend you check out Good Dog Veterinary!
